This solution has 7 positive votes and 0 negative votes. Please log in to vote. Grand Largesse Everything you buy in the game counts, Vigor upgrades, weapon upgrades, ammo, salt, health, ect. You don't have to grind this one out if you go around collecting money, and cracking every safe.
My advice is, hack every vendor machine you can and try to get all the safes in the game. There is usually the most amount of money in the safes. Also make sure to buy any keys you see, its usually an investment, since you don't need to accumulate 10000, buying the keys just goes towards the achievement.
If you do want to do some farming, the video is by IGN and is a way to farm money and lock-picks. This will take a while if you choose to do this method, but you eventually would get there. I recommend not doing the lock-picks and just grab the money, go back in hall, get salts, repeat.
Note: This is AFTER going through the Hall of Heroes, not before.
Also Note: There is easily over 10k money in the game, farming is not necessary if you want to explore and collect money.
According to NoHairCutIsland you can get this achievement as soon as you hit 1000$, just reload checkpoint and spend the 1000$ 10 times. If anyone else can confirm this please comment or send me a message.
This achievement does not stack through play-throughs according to Martel18.
