Police firing: SCBA president demands Home Minister’s resignation

Dhaka, Feb 25 (UNB) – Accusing the police of killing people like birds for protesting the denigration of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), SCBA president Advocate Joynul Abedin on Monday demanded resignation of Home Minister Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir if he fails to stop the killing within a week.

“Police stormed into a village in Singair of Manikganj during hartal on Sunday and shot people to death like birds. The minister has to take the responsibility for the killings. He must step down if he fails to stop the killing within a week,” he said.

The Supreme Court Bar Association chief was addressing a press conference at the SCBA office.

Terming the killings of people ‘utter violation’ of human rights, Joynul said they would not sit idle if those continue. “Resistance will have to be put up in every bar across the country.”

After the publications of reports on the defiling of the Prophet on some newspapers, he said, the government should have taken action against the culprits after proper investigation.

“Instead, the government is killing people who have taken to the streets protesting the anti-Islam campaign,” the SCBA president said, adding that the police have no right to fire shots on any citizen of the country.

Denouncing Law Minister Shafique Ahmed’s remarks that a writ petition pending with the High Court about banning the politics of Jamaat would be disposed of in two weeks, he said, “How could he say that? There’s much apprehension that his remarks may influence the court.”

Joynul also said the lawyers who are demanding the resignation of Justice Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan are living in fool’s paradise. “The Justice only distributed the copies of a report as he got hurt as a Muslim at the news. It’s not violation of conduct. There’s nothing to form a supreme judicial council.”

YaBa Haba won the Master architect achievement with Skyrim

It is not enough to build the small house, you have to build the three wards at home and then to remodel the home front at an entrance to earn it. And apparently I have to do this three times three plots.

The three territories for each House can be purchased from the Jarl or the administrator of Morthal, in Falkreath and Dawnstar. You should have done the quests to gain their favour (e.g. in Falkreath, you should get some Mead, and then kill some bandits).

You will need a ton of items for the construction of each House. Each Earth comes with a chest with just enough elements for building small house authority. Each land also comes with a drafting table, a Carpenter's Workbench and an anvil. You can choose a design from the drawing board (at first you need to build whatever is there, but later, you can choose between three different rooms on each side of the House).

The main items that you will need will iron rods, Sawn logs, stone and clay mined. Iron rods can be converted to various items (studs, locks), in the anvil next to the bench of craftsmanship. The market in any blacksmith is the quickest way to assemble them (assuming that you have accumulated a large amount of money, anyway).

Sawn logs will be needed in just about every part of the House. These can be purchased in any wood factory, although that game I had nobody to buy from is not mentioned. I used Anga of mill near Windhelm. ANGA will 20 logs for 200 gold sell.

Libyan quarried and Libyans both have sources in dry each, the problem is finding them. Quarried stone shines slightly silver and is usually right by rock walls. Clay is ground and shining bronze.

There is a book in the Workbench every Carpenter, called "the beginner's Guide to Homesteading" that goes into more detail about the different rooms you can build. Also explains how to make a home child gay. You can also decorate the Interior of your home and add things like a stable, but this is not required for each achievement.

Overall, a fairly easy achievement if you're loaded with gold as I was. I had about 130 k at the start and finished with about 110 k (although I sold some stuff in between), so it is not too costly. Hopefully this solution will help you guys out with some of the problems that I came across.

Thanks also to Pyro1099 who added: "we will need about 500 pieces of wood for all 3 houses, about 200 quarried stone used mainly for cellars, 300 bar iron and you shouldn't build misc builds IE smelter."

Consider these 4 Communications Styles When Delivering your Next Presentation

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

You may be presenting to a group from within the same industry or even department, but that doesn’t mean everyone in your audience has the same preferred communications style. Different people have very different ways they prefer to give and receive information. Which means that the kind of delivery that engages some people may send others in your audience scrambling for the exits.  One of the big challenges when presenting to a mixed group is correctly adapting your communication style so your whole audience stays focused on what you’re saying.

To make it easier, we distilled it down into four basic default communication styles people can fall into. These are not personality types; this deals specifically with how you like to give and get information. Here’s a brief description of each default communication style:

The Intuitive type refers to those people who are not terribly emotional, but who are quite free form. Intuitive types don’t necessarily like things to flow from A to B to C and so on. They like to cut to the chase, so it’s best to skip directly to the end: what’s the real value you are bringing this person today? If you can get the Intuitive types in your audience to buy in on the end result right away upfront, you’ve got a much better shot at getting them to listen to all the other stuff you’ve got to say.The Analytical type refers to those people who prefer things unemotional but linear. These are your “just the facts” kinds of people. They don’t want to hear a lot of warm-and-fuzzy feeling words, so don’t waste the Analytical-type communicator’s time by telling them you understand their pain; instead just give them the numbers and data they need and want. The Functional type refers to people who generally like their communication to be emotional and linear. These folks like to have control of the process so it’s always best to move in a linear fashion: from A, to B, to C and then follow through right to the end. If you try to skip around in your presentation or jump to the enticement of your “wow” finish, you risk losing the attention of the Functional-type communicator. The Personal relater is both free form and emotional. These are the folks who want the warm-and-fuzzy emotional approach.   So feel free to dive right into all the details such as: Who else is going to be involved/ how getting involved will make them “feel”/ who else they will touch by getting involved, etc.  You can’t just come in and dump a bunch of facts on personal-type communicators, even if they are startling facts. These folks are still going to need a more interpersonal connection.

Even from these brief descriptions of the four communications styles, the conundrum is obvious: they all want something different. The good news is that, by knowing what the 4 types are, you can plan your next presentation knowing you need to hit all 4 types in your delivery. And we’ll teach you how to do that in our upcoming live webinar The Secrets of Killer Presentations.  But here’s a quick little take away secret you can start using now:

When great speakers present to a new or unknown audience, they assume all four communications styles are present. And there’s a certain order they present their information, in order to communication to each style. They begin by addressing the Intuitive types, then they speak to the Analytical types, then to the Functional types and they close by speaking to the Personal types. We see this often in presidential speeches or wherever there’s a mixed audience of preferred communication styles. Working in this order, from the Intuitive to the Analytical to the Functional to the Personal addresses attention span: Intuitives have the shortest attention span, then the Analyticals, then the Functionals and the Personals have the longest attention spans.

Dhaka, Feb 25 (UNB) – Leaders of Ganajagaran Manch on Monday said the mass protest demanding the execution of war criminals, including Quader Mollah, will get stronger day by day despite all propaganda by various quarters working against the 1971 Liberation War spirit.

They also renewed their other demands, including a ban on Jamaat-Shibir and the arrest of the Amar Desh editor for instigating violence against the Shahbagh Protest.

Addressing a mass gathering at Mirpur Section 10 in the afternoon, they also renewed the call for boycotting all the financial institutions run by Jamaat-Shibir.

The rally at Mirpur began around 3:00pm as people from all walks of life thronged the Mirpur 10 intersection and the adjoining roads to raise their voice in solidarity with the demands.

Defeat opposing views thru’ ballot, not banning: Warsi

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota
Dhaka, Feb 20 (UNB) - Visiting British Foreign Office Minister Baroness Sayeeda Warsi on Wednesday advocated for democratic process and choosing the ballot for defeating views of any political party which are not liked by others instead of banning those.

“I fundamentally believe that you don’t get rid of views by banning them…defeat views by challenging them and beating them through the ballot box,” she told reporters at a crowded press conference in the city before wrapping up her three-day Dhaka visit.

She also said, “There’re always parties in all countries which views or whose views you may not like or people may not like. And the way you defeat those views is through the ballot box.”

Justifying her ballot box suggestion, the UK minister said, “Because that’s the say of the people and that’s the most power of democracy.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Warsi said she does not believe that the banning of a political party is the best way to win the battle of ideas but the public can decide what kind of future they want for Bangladesh. “I don’t believe the banning of a political party is the best way to actually achieve a winning in the battle of ideas.”

Responding to a question on Shahbagh Protest, Warsi said she does not think that youths are on the streets only for demanding death penalty of the war crimes accused.

“…I think they want a transparent government, they want politicians to listen them. I think they want to feel that they can make a difference in the nation and they want to live in a country which is economically sound and stable which they have brighter future,” the minister said.

She, however, disagreed with the death penalty demand saying, “We’ve campaign against the death penalty across the world.”

Warsi supported the government efforts to bring the war crimes accused under trial and said, “It’s important for Bangladesh.”

The UK minister also appreciated the youths for their peaceful and violence-free protests here.

Asked whether the UK would like to mediate between two major political parties ahead of the crucial polls she said the UK does not want it. “I think the political parties have enough political will for discussion within them. They have the capacity.”

Asked what would be UK’s role if the military returns again like 2007, she said, “I really don’t want to make speculate.”

Warsi reiterated that most things should be resolved through discussions and in a democratic process.

Responding to a question on the next crucial polls, she said there is a need for all political parties to be part of the election process which should be free, fair and inclusive one.

Warsi said she spoke to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Leader of the Opposition Khaleda Zia and Foreign Minister Dipu Moni on exactly that issue (next polls).

“The elections are an opportunity for Bangladesh to advance and cement its reputation as a stable and responsible democracy. I hope, all political parties will engage in constructive dialogue,” she added.

The UK minister also hoped that all political parties, the Election Commission and civil society can work together towards credible elections that are inclusive and transparent. “How this is done is for Bangladesh to decide.”

On trade and investment, she said Bangladesh has a great economic story when many countries are maintaining low growth.

Warsi found transparency as a big challenge to grow business and said, “We can improve trade and investment between the two countries.”

“Britain is very much open for business. We’re committed to ensuring that highly skilled Bangladeshi workers, businesspeople, students and tourists view the UK as one of the best places to invest and do business, study and visit.”

Before the press conference, Warsi visited one of the Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar today to assess the humanitarian situation of the Rohingya refuses.

The minister said, “I witnessed for myself the seriousness of the humanitarian situation and the resilience of the affected communities…The UK along with the rest of the international community has been pressing the Burmese government to find a long-term solution.”

She said it is important though that humanitarian aid continues to be allowed to reach the Rohingya people.
